- Changes in the amount of gross monthly unearned income exceeding $50.

- A change in vehicle ownership.
- A change in countable assets (cash on hand, stocks, bank accounts, etc.) reaching the appropriate asset limit.
- Changes in the legal obligation to pay child support and the legally obligated amount.
- Any changes in work hours that bring an ABAWD below 20 hours per week averaged monthly.
The six month report is considered complete when:
-
The household answers all yes or no questions that are appropriate and provides all requested information. If the household does not write the information on the six month report but sends sufficient verification, the six month report is still considered complete, and
-
Signed by a responsible member of the household or authorized representative, and
-
Verification of a full months earned and unearned income from the base month or processing month if available is included. If a pay stub is missing, year to date totals can be used to calculate the income; and
-
Verifications needed to add a new household member.
Allowable expenses do not need to be verified if no changes are indicated.
If the household indicates a change in expenses that results in an increase in benefits on the six month report and does not provide verification of the expenses, verification must be requested using F417 - Incomplete Six Month Report or F418 - Incomplete Six Month Report After Non-Filing. If not provided, the previously reported and verified expenses continue to be allowed at the previously verified amount and the case is not closed.
If the household indicates a change in expenses that results in a decrease in benefits on the six-month report, the change must be acted on without verification. Verification must be provided at recertification.
If the household has moved and provides verification of residence but fails to provide verification of expenses, verification must be requested, however, it not provided the reported change in expenses is not allowed and the case is not closed. No shelter expenses are allowed.
If an individual who was exempt from the work requirements at the time of initial application or recertification, reports the loss of exempt status due to a mandatory reportable change at six-month report, the individual is required to work register as part of the six-month report. The incomplete six –month report notice must be sent along with the SFN 385 – Affidavit for SNAP Work Requirements. If the individual fails to return the form within 10 calendar days from the date the county mailed it or the end of the sixth month, whichever is later, the case will close for failure to complete the six-month report.
A six month report will be automatically mailed on the 5th to the last working day of month five. The household has until the 10th day of month six to complete and return the six month report. Upon receipt of the six month report, it must be registered on the SIMR (Six Month Report Registration) screen in TECS.
An interview is not conducted at six month report.
